Full Job Description - Read Carefully
Customer Installation Technician will be accountable for maintaining all electrical and mechanical systems in the plant are safe, reliable and in working condition and ensuring that accurate measurements are achieved on all instrumentation. The incumbent will maintain all control systems programs and hardware in a reliable and acceptable condition and communicate problems/irregularities with the manager.
Ensure that maintenance adheres to legislation, SANS 10142 and working knowledge of explosive environments.

Responsible for maintenance of cryogenic pumps, road tankers, onsite units and general plant maintenance at AL premises and customers. New electrical installations and maintenance of existing electrical installations in Air Liquide facilities, road tankers and customer installations.

Perform Maintenance and breakdown down work on road tankers, onsite installations and Bulk Installation of an electrical, instrumentation and mechanical nature and will assist in Highveld IM site as required

Preventative and corrective maintenance relating to control panels, pump motors and instrumentation such as temperature controls and pressure transducers on road tankers, as well as IM site electrical equipment. Fault Finding on various types of equipment – especially pumps & Compressors.

Repairs to pumps at AL premises and customer installations, both local and out of town. Control of spare parts required to perform all maintenance mentioned. Walkabouts – Periodic inspections of the tankers to have a proactive system to fix issues and to improve communication between drivers, loaders and technicians.

Perform installation work (electrical, instrumentation, mechanical) on projects as and when required. Refurbishment of pumps and related equipment at the workshop, including management of the spare parts.

Recording information and record keeping as required (job cards, record books etc.) and adhere to the QA Procedures as laid out in the Quality Policy of Air Liquide & ISO 9001:2000 as well as additional IMS requirements.

Grade 12/NTC3
Experience
-
Qualified Millwright with a strong mechanical background.

Valid driver’s License
