Introduction
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly analytical Retail Operations Manager – Finance to join our team in Jet Park. The successful candidate will play a vital role in collecting, organizing, analysing, and presenting data that drives insight and performance improvement across our retail operations.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Collect, analyse, measure and interpret retail and financial data originating from stores
- Analyse and report on retail and Distribution Centre sales performance statistics by store
- Prepare, monitor, and present annual sales budgets, forecasts, and year-end performance reports
- Analyse and report on rebates, charges, and recoveries to and from Retailers
- Create and analyse sales variance and performance reports, identifying key drivers and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and present clear, data-driven reports and presentations for senior management and Executives
- Work collaboratively with internal business units and management teams to understand business needs and deliver insightful analysis
- Interpret operational and financial documents to create meaningful working files and analytical tools
- Monitor and maintain data sources, databases, and reporting platforms to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Conduct detailed financial statement and cashflow analysis to assess store performance
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams and Retailers to support financial performance and operational growth

Minimum requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- BCom Accounting/Financial Management
- 3-5 Years experience in Retail Management
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills along with high level of computer literacy
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) will be a strong advantage
- Strong data analysis, interpretation, and presentation capabilities
- Solid understanding of retail and financial reporting principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability
- Ability to plan work effectively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and focused
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team environment
