The main purpose of the role is to effectively supervise and co-ordinate a team of people who are required to unpack all incoming production material for delivery to the production line.
Reporting: This position reports to Logistics & CA Manager.
Job Objectives:
Operations
- Coordinate parts supply with Production Logistics Department.
- Manage parts stock together with team members according to production needs.
- Managing material locations/warehouse. Ensuring that all parts are correctly identified, allocated to the correct locations, and issued when needed.

- Tracking and coordinating the receiving, storing (Warehouse), and timely delivery of material to usage points.
- Ordering needed supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Follow up and reporting of all open purchase orders, backorders, and other needed parts.
- Ensuring all GRNs and stock issuing are captured on the system.
- Routinely verifying invoices for accuracy.
- Routinely verifying stock/inventory accuracy.
- Ensuring all queries are actioned timeously.
- Communicating and coordinating activities and information with other departments.
- Managing, evaluating, and reporting on Logistics productivity.
- Maintaining dept records, reporting relevant information, and preparing needed documentation.
- Support in creating, updating, and ensuring Logistics dept SOP standards are followed.
- General daily housekeeping/5S.
- Collaborate and communicate with external depts and suppliers.
- Be part of VPS (Lean/WCM) or other business initiatives/activities.
- As the business expands and evolves, new tasks may be assigned.
Health and Safety
- Managing team compliance with health and safety processes and procedures.
- Conduct health and safety audits.
- Identify potential hazards, risks, and dangers.
- Participate in or lead investigations of incidents.
- Make recommendations regarding health and safety.
- Conduct inspections.
- Review effectiveness of health and safety measures.
- Inspect any documents related to Health and Safety.

People
- Supervise, lead, and motivate the Logistics team in reviews and performance supporting their development and learning.
- Managing IR activities for Logistics operational team.
- Documenting and submission of Timesheets for Volvo and contracted employees.
- Managing and submission of relevant documents.
Education & Experience:
- Supply Chain Degree, Logistic Management Degree, IE Degree.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Proven work experience within an Automotive/Manufacturing Environment is advantageous.
- MS Office intermediate experience.
- SAP experience is advantageous.
