Role Purpose
Accurately control and process financial information and prepare financial reports and analyses to enable business processes and management of the accounting function for Investment Annuity and Wealth cells.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Reconciling balance sheet items and following up on outstanding items.
- Following up on annuity payment discrepancies with business analysts and service departments.
- Assisting in ad hoc projects in the finance department.
- Summarising and understanding various business processes relating to the finance department.
- Investigate and resolve any outstanding queries in relation to accounting issues.
- Checking and posting monthly journals in JDE.
- Preparing reports for various stakeholders.
- Analysing and checking financial transactions and reports.
- Preparing report breakdowns and assisting auditors with queries.
- Preparing working papers for auditors.
- Ensuring that all audit queries are resolved and time delays in audit queries are minimized.
- Meeting company and client accounting, payment and reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to the enhancement of systems and processes issues in order to enhance financial management.
- Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation
knowledge. - Assist with statutory reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
- Diploma in Financial Management or Accounting.
- Degree in Financial Management or Accounting (preferred).
- At least 5 years experience in industry-related accounting (experience in annuity product accounting preferred).
- Advance excel experience.
