Purpose of the Job
To manage and maintain the quality and effectiveness of all operations for the Distribution Centre stock and capital items, with reference to standard operating procedures.

Job Objectives
Compliance Monitoring;
- Conduct periodic internal and environmental audits and record non-conformances in the Distribution Centre to ensure daily adherence to compliance procedures
- Review and implement regulatory compliance policies and procedures in the Distribution Centre on a daily basis

- Consult and advise internal management and business partners on an ad hoc basis on the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
- Communicate and provide regular employee training for employees in the Distribution Centre on the performance of compliance policies and procedures on an ad hoc basis
- Design and implement improvements as necessary in compliance policies and procedures throughout the Distribution Centre’s Operations.
Operational Procedure Management
- Set objectives and communicate plans for operational procedures as and when required to relevant stakeholders
- Utilise standardised measurement criteria to continuously monitor operational procedure progress
- Timeously document and communicate roles and responsibilities to incumbents in terms of all procedures in the Distribution Centre
- Evaluate and communicate implications, risks and costs of proposed operational procedure changes to management and staff as necessary
- Identify, analyse and communicate cross-functional operational procedure issues and recommendations as and when required Quality Management
- Conduct monthly quality and safety audits timeously to maintain certification and reduce lead time
- Ensure that operations (i.e. receiving, production and despatch) adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures on a daily basis
Qualifications
Recognised tertiary qualification in; Quality Control/Assurance Supply Chain and Logistics Operations Management
Experience
- Management experience (3 - 5 years)
- Operational Experience (Warehouse/ Distribution Centre) (3 - 5 years)
