We are looking for a skilled Driver to provide a reliable and courteous transportation service to staff and participants with safety a top priority; to provide a communication link between participants and staff; to operate and maintain assigned vehicles; and to maintain vehicles and staff records.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive mobile clinic and a trailer to various sites
- Transport staff and clients to various destinations, as per the needs of the outreach
- Keep records of kilometres travelled, manage, and record them on logbook
- Manage and maintain all contents of the mobile clinic
- Ensure all the regulatory requirements for operating the mobile clinic/outreach are adhered to
- Plan and allocate vehicles trips on a day-to-day basis
- Monitor the trips as per the transport schedule and enforce adherence
- Assisting nurses with the operation of the mobile clinic/outreach

- Assist in collection and deliveries of goods and materials
- Ensure that the vehicles are kept clean
- Liaise with supervisor regarding regular service and maintenance of the vehicles (i.e. tyres, brake pads, etc.) and that it meets general safety requirements
- Report any problems encountered on the vehicles and attend to them
- Report all accidents and incidents
- Provide other services as requested by management
- Ensure safety of vehicle and staff transported
- Ensure that pre-trips and post-trips are conducted daily
- Ensure that the vehicle is always parked at Anova premises
- Keep up to date with the relevant policies and SOP’s
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- Code 10 Driver's licence
- Matric or equivalent work experience
- PDP – Professional Driver’s Permit
- Defensive Driving Course
- At least 2 years driving experience.
- Communication skills and local language ability
