Forklift Driver - Nestle

Offload / Load Raw & Packaging Materials, Finished Goods and Returnables. Move, Store and Capture all Transfers at source in time. Transport Raw and Packaging Materials to and from other Departments and perform Stock Counts in the department.

Key Responsibility:

RECEIVING:

• Offloads materials and products from delivery vehicles and put into holding area.

• Establish appropriate stacking space for the materials and products in the warehouse.

• Attach labels onto correct side of the materials/products for easy identification and visibility and scan it immediately.

• Scan material from interim bin, check correctness, store, and scan in appropriate bin.
• Report any differences or quality defects to Co-coordinator when noticed.

DESPATCH

• Move Materials to loading bay.
• Loading of trucks as per standard when required

PRODUCTION/Filling & Packing:

• Scan required materials and quantities to specified Production Storage Areas (PSA’s).

• Ensure correct quantities are scanned and compare scanning to actual vs system.

• Investigate and correct any differences.

• Deliver required empty pallets to PSA’s.
• Move Finished Goods from PSA’s to warehouse into bins and scan immediately

AD HOC:

• Assist with scanning of FG’s from the bins and with STO controls.

• Maintain high standard of safety and housekeeping in work area.

• Perform cycle and other stock counts.

• Do daily checks on the forklifts/reach trucks and complete the records daily.

• Report any faults/problems to Supervisor immediately after discovered.

• Must be prepared to work overtime, at short notice and over weekends.

• Perform ad hoc tasks being assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Splitting of materials on pallets to exact quantities as requested by Production.

Key Requirements

• Matric
• 2 Year experience in FMCG and have Forklift License
• Computer Literacy
