Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements


An exciting opportunity exists at our Medirite Daspoort branch for a pharmacist. You will be responsible for managing a Medirite pharmacy and, if necessary, take responsibility as the pharmacist in charge when required.

Key Performance Areas include:

INDIVIDUAL

  • Dispensing

OPERATING RESULTS ACHIEVED THROUGH DELEGATED TASKS

  • Pharmacy administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Stock control
  • Customer service
  • Sales
  • Compliance

MANAGEMENT

  • Operational work planning, priority setting, and scheduling.
  • Operational performance monitoring.
  • People and enabling capacity management / Resourcing, Manage cross-functional relationships e.g. with prescribers, suppliers, Head Office, Store manager, Cash office.
  • Resolve escalated operational issues; Budget management.

Qualifications

Essential

  • BPharm / equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

Desirable

  • Registered tutor.

  • Experience working in a retail pharmacy.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Dispensing knowledge.
  • Knowledgeable with regard to pharmacy legislation.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Sound numerical skills.
  • Able to deal with pressure.
  • Computer literate – MS Office.
