Job Purpose
Executive: Nedbank Africa Regions Marketing and Communications will be responsible for development and ownership of the cluster specific Marketing and Communications strategy and plans aligned to business strategy. This role has oversight of the cluster specific marketing and communications initiatives that will be delivered through the central delivery squads.
They are ultimately responsible for overseeing delivery against the Cluster Marketing and Communications strategy and calendar aligned to the overall cluster strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop all Marketing and Communications strategies for cluster, from initial concept to overseeing final delivery through central teams / squads
- Ensure ROI measurement across different engagement platforms inclusive of digital, leveraging the central teams
- Lead the collective Marketing & Communications cluster to grow and build the cluster brand, by developing plans aligned to central team planning for all Marketing disciplines, ensuring quality delivery to drive exceptional client experience, supported by well-designed actionable metrics that are used for future decision making
- Provide direction on leveraging research insights to develop Customer Value Propositions (CVP) and Thought Leadership positions to cluster teams, integrating them into all Marketing plans
- Integrate the Brand strategy into the overall business strategy of cluster working across all Marketing platforms

- Form part of the Enterprise Marketing planning process to ensure cluster marketing calendar for strategy, data and brand is incorporated in the Enterprise Marketing process
- Oversee mission delivery for the cluster to ensure alignment with strategy
- Establish governance framework
- Oversee the implementation of process governance to ensure relevant delivery against the established strategy
- Approve guardrails and budgets for cluster marketing
- Analyse mission data and trends to enhance efficiencies and marketing activities and provide insights to central teams for continuous improvement
- Data and Insights
- Utilise data and Insights generated from operations to align inform the strategic objectives and measure operational improvements
- Generate data to make strategic decisions
- Proactive management and control of relevant budgets, by presenting and actioning budget savvy marketing solutions that take advantage of integration into and across various marketing channels.
- People management - direct and in a matrix context
- Oversee the execution of cluster marketing strategy functions
- Functional lead performance management and development to meet strategic and personal goals
- Facilitate performance management of the cluster marketing strategy function
- Responsible for overall capacity requirements/ capability enhancements within the marketing strategy function
Minimum Experience Level
5 years or more Marketing and Communications (Management) experience.
Preferred Certifications
- Postgraduate in Marketing or Communications (Honours/ Masters) preferred
