This role focuses on driving innovation in property risk management by developing data-driven solutions, including models and machine-learning tools, to inform strategy. With a focus on property trends, climate change, and valuations, the analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions for the home loan portfolio. As the sole analyst in the team, you will have the unique opportunity to design and lead the analytics function, delivering insights to enhance risk management and support growth through innovative and impactful solutions.

Qualifications

  • Completed Matric
  • Degree (NQF Level 7 and above)
  • Degree Business Commerce, Mathematical Sciences, Quantitative Studies

Experience

  • 3–4 years of experience in Banking or Risk Management is essential.

Domain Knowledge:

  • A passion for property and property analytics.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning.
  • An innovative mindset with the ability to identify gaps and develop proactive strategies.
  • A keen interest in addressing the impacts of climate change on the property industry.
  • A self-starter who thrives on autonomy and can build from the ground up.
  • The role requires an individual with a solid foundation and understanding of bank processes, products, data, and systems, with 3-4 years of experience. Specific experience within Credit/Property, Risk Management, Assurance, Compliance, or Legal is required. Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and other coding languages is also necessary. Advanced computer literacy with a high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
