Purpose of the role:
To ensure the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our buildings and client transfers. This entails being responsible for performing a wide range of fabric, general maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting. Additional it will require operating vehicles/equipment, inspecting equipment, structures or materials, handling and moving objects and performing general physical activities.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Safely transportation of executives or visitors to their required destinations.
- Delivery and collection services.
- Vehicle inspections and log book maintenance.
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor renovations across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, system, and facility issues, resolving problems promptly
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Install, assemble, and repair fixtures, fittings, and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders within set timelines
- Coordinate and communicate with team members, supervisors, and external service providers
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organizational standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory
- Support the implementation of preventive maintenance schedule
- Assist with emergencies, including after-hours callouts when required
- Operate vehicle

Required Education and Experience:
- Matric or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are advantageous
- Minimum 2–3 years’ proven experience in general maintenance and repair work.
- Incident/request logging and management
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum 2-3 years’ driving experience
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting
- Proficient in the use of tools, equipment, and materials related to maintenance work
- Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with health and safety standards and procedures
- Strong admin work, communication and interpersonal skills
- Interact politely and professionally with the client.
- Well-organised with good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
