Technician, Clinpath - Ampath Trust

To provide technical support, perform routine and stat analyses of samples within the Clinical Pathology laboratory environment

• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Perform general tasks in order to assist with maintaining best practices within the laboratory,
• Perform receiving and resulting tasks on the Meditech system in order to ensure correct handling, preparing and recording of specimen and results,
• Perform Serological identification typing tasks in order to ensure effective processing and resulting of serological bacterial typings,
• Process specimens on the benches in order to ensure sufficient delivery of results.

Certificate:

Medical Technician (Required), HPCSA registration: Supervised Practice Microbiology (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required)

Required Experience:

Experiential training in a training laboratory,

Knowledge:

• Instrumentation and Methodologies,
• Meditech system,
• MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Word,
• Quality Control,
• relevant pathology test procedures,
• Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy
