A well-established group of companies in the retail and property industries seeks to employ an accountant
Responsibilities of the job include:
- collating, preparing, and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries, and financial statements
- Reconciliations of cash up's
- Bank import and process
- Journal entries until the trial balance
- undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
- producing long-term business plans
- researching pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
- controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
- managing budgets
- developing and managing financial systems/models
- carrying out business modelling and risk assessments
- supervising staff
- liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues

Required Skills
- retail: 2 to 3 years
- excel: 2 to 3 years
- accountant : 3 to 4 years
Candidate Requirements:
- 3+ years experience as an Accountant
- 3+ years reconciliation experience
- Advanced Excel
- Accounting qualification
- Ability to work on strict deadlines with attention to detail
- Experience in a FMCG or retail environment such as Pick and Pay, Spar, Checkers will be advantageous
