Cashier: Mount Nelson - Belmond

As a Cashier at Mount Nelson, a Belmond Hotel, you will be responsible for taking guests orders over the phone promptly and in a friendly manner, ensuring a seamless service is provided for in the Room In Dining Department.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for answering the telephones using the appropriate etiquette, in accordance to LQA standards.
• Take the guest order, always trying to use suggestive/ upselling techniques.

• Provide an expected delivery time for the guest’s order.

• Ensure guests special requests are communicated to the Kitchen.

• Monitor guest orders to ensure all orders are delivered on time.

• Accurately posts payments to the POS system.

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.

• 1- 2 years relevant experience in a similar position within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment

• Excellent telephone etiquette.

• Good communication skills.

• Exceptional customer service orientation.

• Knowledge of food menu and wine list
