POSITION DETAILS

• Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9000 / ISO 14000 / TS 16949
• Automotive Assembly Process Knowledge And Experience
• Knowledge of incoming materials quality standards by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
• Hand And Power Tool Operational Experience
• Welding Experience And Working Knowledge
• Automotive Assembly Process Knowledge And Experience
• Knowledge Of Welding Procedures and Processes
• Perform Visual And Test Inspections On Welded Sub-Assemblies And Complete Assemblies
• Record Readings And Generate Reports From Inspection Data
• Analyze And Identify Defects
• Ensure Preventative And Repair Methods Are Adhered To
• Ensure in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to responsible personnel
• Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

• Technical Diploma (N3-N6): Mechanical / Welding Engineering
• 3-4 Years Part / Product Assembly Experience.
• 3-5 Years of Relevant Experience in the Automotive Industry

Responsibilities

PERFORMANCE MEASURES/ SUCCESS CRITERIA

• Focus on quality and maintain concentration with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy by ensuring weld quality.
• Take an analytical approach to solving problems through systematic monitoring and checking of information to meet standards and ensure parts and welding meet specifications.
• Set up and operate welding and joining processes for lab tests, and perform welding experiments
• Work in cross-functional engineering teams to develop and test new products
• Conduct field service activities for department and business units. interpretation and analysis driving kaizens.
