Job Description:
Other duties for the role will include the following:
- Maintaining and testing all equipment/machinery to ensure functionality, safety, reliability, and availability to complete jobs within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits.
- Conducting inspections to identity possible failures and repair or raise notifications for repairs
- Ensure effective maintenance of plant equipment and related machinery to ensure optimal utilization and availability toward maximizing production and throughput schedules.
- Identify and report defects, equipment failures and time required to do repairs to the Supervisor to enable applicable decision-making, action planning and problem resolution.

- Ensuring work is executed as per Operating Model standards & procedures
- Ensuring job cards are completed in full and returned back on time
- Ensuring all toolboxes and tools are kept in good condition
- Ensuring proper communication and handover on outstanding tasks between shifts and day shift teams
- Providing accurate and understandable information as well as continuous on-the-job training to assist learner / team member to acquire the required competencies and address any shortcomings.
- Providing assistance to supervisor and co-workers when required within company policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance teamwork objectives
- Adhering to all health and safety practices requirements and promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
Qualifications:
You will need the following Qualification and Experience:
- Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical
- Qualified as an Artisan - Fitter
- N2 Engineering Qualification
- 1-2 Years’ experience as an Artisan
- Code 08 Drivers Licence
