Duties:
- Assist in attending to calls logged within SLA requirements as per the department.
- Assist to provide and update technical assistance, documentation, diagnostics, installations, and re-imaging of machines.
- Assist the Supervisor on all server and network issues in the department.
- Assist in the delivery of all ICT and desktop support projects.
- Assist in the manual audits of all network pc’s and servers in the environment.
- Assist in ensuring that servers have the latest patches and antiviruses installed.
- Assist in the creation of shared folders for directorates for file sharing purposes.
- Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the Infrastructure and report accordingly.
- Assist in CIO policy drafting and amendments for the department. Attend weekly internal and external IT meetings when required.
- Advice on warranty of the current existing infrastructure.

Requirements :
- Matric plus a Diploma in IT or relevant qualification, coupled with 2- 3 years’ appropriate experience within the field of ICT. Competencies: Knowledge of service desk system service and support, taking and typing minutes,
- Knowledge of legislation, regulations and policies, ICT Asset Management policies and practices, information technology systems and support, communication, customer services, good record keeping, interpersonal relations, telephone etiquette, computer, understating of Finance and HR Matters, planning and organising, safety, training and technical proficiency.
- Knowledge of service desk system and support, Internet and Email, basic technical support knowledge, report writing, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, A+ and MS Outlook including MS Teams.
