Job Advert Summary
- To plan and coordinate the buying, expediting, receiving, shipping of goods and invoicing of goods and services for the Zimbabwe plants.
- Procurement: Obtain quotes (RFQ) in line with procurement procedures. Negotiate price and delivery. Do adjudication where applicable. Place orders with suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Procurement: Obtain quotes (RFQ) in line with procurement procedures. Negotiate price and delivery. Do adjudication where applicable. Place orders with suppliers.
- Foreign Exchange Contracts (FEC): Liaise with Treasury for FECs where goods are bought internationally. Ongoing confirmation of due delivery dates to ensure payment dates are adjusted where necessary.
- Expediting: Expedite orders with suppliers and update deliveries as and when required. Provide update and feedback to Zimbabwe team.
Receiving:
- Local: arrange transport for goods quoted EXW/FOT. Liaise with the consolidation warehouse daily on goods delivered.

International:
- arrange with Clearing Agent to collect and clear goods according to Incoterms
- Receipting: Coordinate receipting of goods and services in SAP.
- Invoicing: Prepare commercial invoices for goods to be transported to Zimbabwe plants.
- Planning: Arrange and coordinate the physical movement of goods to Zimbabwe.
- SAP Invoices: Liaise with Finance to ensure all goods and services are invoiced in SAP.
Reporting:
- month end reporting of outstanding purchase orders, open commercial invoices and any additional reporting which may be required from time to time.
- Supplier Liaison, Appraisal and Communication: Liaise with suppliers regarding price differences, deliveries and specifications. Supplier performance reviews to be conducted monthly.
- Minimise waste and save costs: Comply with work rules, standards and methods. Take care to minimise waste. Provide feedback on optimisation opportunities.
- Team relationships and conflict resolution: Maintain active and informative relations with all team members and colleagues, take remedial actions where necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- Purchasing Management Diploma
- Planning and coordination
- SAP ERP (MM) working knowledge
- Basic commercial knowledge
- Basic finance knowledge
- Maintenance, Repairable and Operations (MRO) spares understanding
- Stakeholder management
- Basic knowledge of Imports and Exports
- 5 Years in a Procurement Environment
