Purpose Statement
- Responsible for maintaining the infrastructure integrity during planned/unplanned maintenance.
- Daily plant checks.
- Responsible for installs, moves and changes according to an approved set of standards.
- Update processes, procedures and knowledge base documentation.
- Liaise with other support teams to ensure uptime maximization and delivery of high-quality services.
Experience
Min:
- 2 years’ experience within an IT environment
- Proven experience in the Data Centre environment
Qualifications (Minimum)

Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Knowledge
- Building maintenance knowledge
- Understanding importance of rules and regulations within the data centre environment
- Understanding risk & control
- Fault finding and critical assessment of services
- Broad understanding of Information technology within the data centres
- Solid understanding of data centre services and infrastructure
- Planning and managing data centre activities (installs, moves and changes)
- Managing the subcontractors within the data centre space
